Research Group “Bioactive Peptides”

Bioactive peptides are increasingly being studied in several areas, demonstrating the great potential of these molecules. The enormous versatility in terms of structure and function of these biomolecules allows their rational design, necessary for the development of new therapeutic peptides. It is intended in this group, to develop activities of design, synthesis and studies of structure-function of peptides with therapeutic potential. Different molecules with antibacterial, antiviral, healing activities, among others, are the object of study.
