EU QUERO project
Project EU QUERO (Engaging Users for Quality Enhancement and Rights: Strengthening the maternal and child healthcare system over the first 1000 days in Brazil)
Objective: This project is the result of a partnership between UFJ, Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA) and University of Southampton (United Kingdom). The project as a whole is led by the British Dr Channon. Through the empowerment of mothers and pregnant women in a period of a thousand days, this research focuses on strengthening the public health system in the maternal and child area. It receives funding from Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de Goiás (FAPEG), Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa e ao Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico do Maranhão (FAPEMA), and from Medical Research Council.
